Chris went to UCSD where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music with a Jazz Emphasis. Chris was able to study a variety of musical styles that have made him into a very versitaille musician including choral music, jazz improv, experimental music, pop music, rock music, and music history. Additionally, Chris joined an a cappella group named Duly Noted where he started part singing and arranging for a cappella. He also helped songwrite and arrange for his alternative rock band Stay for the Fireworks, which would later open at the UCSD Sun God Music Festival for bands including Saint Motel, The Mowglis, Sir Sly, Roy Woods, GOOD Project, Choreo Cookies, Femme Fatale, and 220 Second to None.
Since graduating, Chris works as a freelance musician and a substitute teacher in the San Diego area. He joined the holiday a cappella group the Tinseltone Carolers where he met his wife Erin Vanderhyde, who is also a musician. They've been married for 7 years and now are about to have 2 kids. Mike started playing the piano but left it for baseball. He played saxophone next but left that when he discovered the guitar. Then one day he played the bass at an impromptu jazz gig with his piano playing friend Kevin. In way over his head and just making it up, he realized that the bass fit him best. He got an upright (Ella) and a Fender Jazz (Debbie) and lives in the basement now.
"If it can groove, I want to play it. I like a puzzle every so often, but what I really want is to feel the music and get lost in the vibe.”
Mike Reyes is a San Diego–based multi-instrumentalist and music educator. He earned his Bachelor of Music from San Diego State University in 2016 and has since become an active performer in the region’s vibrant music scene. Beyond recording, Mike performs with a variety of bands and serves as a pit musician for community and regional theater productions. Lawrence plays drums and sometimes other instruments. He moonlights as a cat owner and a software engineer. He’s best known for renting a home where the neighbors don’t complain about noise, where he also rehearses with his anime/vg cover band, Super Tonic.
